Baranovichi Museum of Railway Engineering

Baranovichi Railway Museum is one of the best museums dedicated to the development of the railway in Belarus. The museum was opened in 1984, and in 1999 a department of railway equipment was opened here, carefully storing real samples of real steam locomotives presented in life size. It is located near the station Baranovichi-Polesssky.

In front of the entrance to the museum is a small locomotive, which is a copy of the first steam locomotive that passed through this station. Most of the museum is open-air, so you can see it even from the windows of passing trains. Here you will see locomotives and electric locomotives, passenger and freight cars of different times, operating semaphore, repair equipment, steam boiler, track auxiliary devices, military equipment and even an anti-aircraft machine gun.

You can enter the museum at any time during the day, asking permission from the security guard.
