Museum "Saved Artistic Values"

Belarus, Brest, Lenin Street, 39

About the company:

The Museum “Saved Art Values” is a branch of the Brest Museum of Local History. The exposition of the museum presents exhibits that smugglers tried to take abroad.

The museum is located in the center of Brest in the building of a mansion built in the twenties of the XX century. The branch of the museum was opened in 1989, and it originally presented art objects that the attackers tried to bring outside the USSR. Also here you can see photos that capture the most ingenious ways that smugglers tried to use in order to hide and take away treasures, icons and antiques.

The main part of the exhibition is occupied by Russian icons of the XVI-XIX centuries, as well as painting, jewelry and antique dishes.
