Minsk

Lenin Square

Belarus, Minsk, Bobruiska Street. 1.

Description:

The station of the Moscow line "Lenin Square" is part of the Minsk metro and separates the station "Institute of Culture" and "October". Passenger traffic on average per day is 83.6 thousand people, which makes Lenin Square the busiest station in the city.

The design is single-vaulted and consists of monolithic reinforced concrete. The location of the station in the area of large passenger traffic led to the fact that the basis of its design was based on the principle of conciseness and the absence of unnecessary decor. A plowed type of vault is used, which creates a contrast with the actively identified elements of the cornice that divide it with the track walls.

Light sources behind the eaves and illumination of the track walls with the text of the station name are hidden.

The entire interior is decorated in calm tones. Dark pink marble was used to line the track walls. In the center of the platform is a column - an artistic composition topped with a hammer and sickle.

Thanks to its convenient location, Lenin Square connects Independence Square and the Railway Station, the two main passenger-generating hubs of the city. Exits lead to the streets Privozalnaya, Bobruiskaya, Kirova, Leningradskaya and Independence Square.
