All Saints' Council

ooh Kalinovsky 121, Minsk, Belarus

Description:

The Cathedral of All Saints of Minsk is located at the intersection of Vsesvyatskaya and Kalinovskaya streets and belongs to the Belarusian exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. The foundation stone was laid by His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II in 1991. Five years later, with the participation of the President of Belarus and Metropolitan of Minsk, a capsule with a commemorative letter containing an appeal to descendants was laid here. The height of the temple together with the cross is 74 meters. At the same time, it can accommodate 1,200 parishioners.

In October 2008, magnificent domes were installed on the temple-monument. Before the ascension, they were solemnly consecrated by the rector of the parish Theodore Povny with the participation of high-ranking guests. In July 2010, in the crypt of the cathedral, a ceremony was held to bury the remains of three unknown soldiers who fell in the battles of three wars – the First World War, the Patriotic War of 1812 and the Great Patriotic War.

All Saints Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Orthodox buildings in the city, whose architecture is considered modern and unique. You will not find similar projects anywhere in the world. The temple includes 504 niches, which will eventually be filled with crystal containers.
