About the company:

The Belarus Communications Museum is located in Minsk and was opened in 1993. The museum collection includes a large number of exhibits such as the first Bordeaux apparatus, Morse apparatus, Wheatstone Bridge, switches, the first televisions and radios, telephones of the XX century, communication equipment of various years and much more.

The idea of creating a communication museum of Belarus belongs to the First Minister of Communications of the BSSR Afanasyev. In July 1983, Minister of Communications Hrytsuk signed an order establishing the Communications Museum under No. 122.

When creating the museum, the main task was to collect, preserve and exhibit communication equipment of the past years, historical materials on the development of communication facilities, memories of veteran communications officers, photo documents and other materials. By 1991, the museum had assembled a large collection of historical materials, documents and equipment. A room was allocated for the future exposition in the building of the Minsk Telephone Station, located in the center of the capital. The exhibition area is 225 square meters. Each exhibit is equipped with accompanying annotations and texts. The museum collection can be interesting not only for schoolchildren and students, but also for people who are interested in communication technologies.
