Metro Station Institute of Culture

Description:

The station of the Moscow line "Institute of Culture" is part of the Minsk metro and separates the station "Grushevka" and "Lenin Square". Until November 7, 2012 was the terminus on the Moscow line.

The opening of the 1st stage of the Minsk metro took place on June 26, 1984. This is the 6th busiest station in the city - per day passenger traffic is an average of 47.4 thousand people.

Behind the "Institute of Culture" there is a distillation, which has an exit to the depot PM-1 "Moscow" and a dead end.

The design of single-vaulted small laying consists of precast and monolithic reinforced concrete. The main idea of the composition lies in the rhythm of padugs, which share the vault and track walls. They are filled with decorative inserts of aluminum and cast glass, in the vault zone they are visually connected by architectural elements, in the rear of which there are lamps.

Decorative inserts consist of orange, red, yellow glass and smalt. They include images of bas-relief figures. All this reflects the cultural achievements of Belarus. The whole station is made in white colors, in places there are contrasting inserts that create a feeling of folk color.

Exits lead to the streets of Moscow, Surazh, Mogilev, Beautiful, Slonim and Fabricius.
