Metro station "Pervomayskaya"
Description:
The metro station "Pervomayskaya" belongs to the Avtozavodskaya line of the Minsk metro. It is located between the Kupalov and Proletar stations in Belarus, in Minsk.
Pervomayskaya was opened in 1991, a few months after the opening of the first section of the Avtozavodskaya line. This is the only station of the Minsk metro, which has a lateral location of platforms.
The column station was designed by architects V. Telepnev and A. Petrov with an island platform. During the construction, several technical errors were made, including the existence of dusty sands near the riverbed Svisloch. This led to the fact that the plan of the tunnels was changed, and the opening date was postponed from December 31, 1990 to 1991. Until the completion of construction, all trains of the second line had to pass Pervomayskaya station in transit.
The design is a column of small laying, it is three-span with one hidden span. The lobby has a two-level structure, the upper level stairs lead to the platforms, which are located on the lower level. The end wall of the lobby is decorated with an artistic composition. Gray granite and white marble were used for finishing.
Exits from the station are on Lenin Street in underground passages, near Svisloch, and lead to the Minsk Crystal plant, the Minsk concert hall, the Dynamo stadium and the BSU Lyceum.
