Uruchie Metro Station
Description:
The terminal station of the Moscow line "Uruchie" is part of the Minsk metro. This is the first metro station located outside the Moscow Ring Road. It is located in the central part of the Uruchie microdistrict.
The opening took place on November 7, 2007. The cost of construction of the metro section running from Vostok to Uruchya was about 240 billion Belarusian rubles.
A 30-meter vaulted structure was used on the platform and lobby. The station has two spans and a central row of round columns.
Lobbies and underground passages are equipped with passenger elevators and service facilities. The three-dimensional planning solution of the platform and lobby reveals the main idea of creating two-light open spaces in the stairwell zone.
The suspended ceiling of the western lobby is made in dark blue tones, the eastern lobby - in yellow-ochre tones. The suspended light blue ceiling above the passenger area creates illusions of water and sky. The floor and bottom of the track walls are lined with polished granite, the cashrooms with marble, and the columns of the apron hall with metal ceramics.
Exits lead to Independence Avenue and the streets of Shafarnyanskaya, Russianova, Lozhinskaya, Starinovskaya and Ostroshitskaya.
