About the company:
The Mogilev Museum of Witold Byalynitsky-Biruli is the first memorial museum in Belarus dedicated to the work of the famous artist, after whom it was named. The museum is not opened in his home, but in a monument of civil architecture of the XVII century - the house in which Empress Catherine II and Austrian Emperor Joseph II lived for several days.
In 1982, by the time the museum opened, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus had almost five hundred canvases belonging to Byalynitsky-Biruli. All of them were transferred to a museum dedicated to the artist. In addition to paintings, the museum stores most of its documents, letters, photos and personal belongings - a sketchbook, palette and brushes. Thus, the Bialyniko-Biruli Museum in Mogilev recreates a complete picture of the life and work of the eminent artist.
Every year, on the artist’s birthday, the museum hosts free excursions and classical music concerts for pupils of boarding schools, the cadet corps, children from disadvantaged families and orphans.
