Vitebsk

Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky

Vitebsk, Millennium Square of Vitebsk, 1

Description:

The Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky was built in the mid-nineties of the last century, it was built to receive parishioners during the construction of the Holy Annunciation Church.

The church is built entirely of wood, and the architecture of the building combines the traditions of Belarusian and Novgorod architecture.

Despite its young age (the first liturgy was held in 1993, and the lighting of the throne took place in 1995), this church has already earned honor and respect from the citizens and is considered one of the most beautiful wooden churches in Vitebsk.
