Chobe National Park

Botswana, Chob

Description:

Chobe National Park is located in Botswana, on the border with Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia, near the city of Victoria Falls. The park covers an area of approximately 11,700 square kilometers and is the second largest park in Africa.

The park has a variety of landscapes. From the north there is the irresistible Chob River, in the west swamps prevail, and in the southwest the park borders with the Moremi Reserve. It is home to the world’s largest population of savanna elephants, more than 120 thousand individuals, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs and many other species of animals.

All this can be seen during a cruise in the park on jeeps. The best time to visit the park is the dry season, which lasts from April to October. Antimalarial prevention is required before visiting.
