Children's Day in Brazil
Description:
For the first time in 1920, a member of the Federal Assembly of Galdino do Valle Filho spoke for such a holiday. In 1924, Arthur Bernardes, President of Brazil, approved the proposal by decree. On October 12, it became an official holiday for Brazilian children.
In 1960, the local company “Estrela” together with the firm “Johnson & Johnson” held the first promotion for the sale of children’s goods, timed to this day. The promotion was a huge success, which, of course, took advantage of other trading enterprises, starting to annually issue special gifts for the children's holiday.
Usually, the day before the holiday, festive events are held in kindergartens, schools; for example, masquerade.
October 12 is a day off, which parents completely dedicate to their children: take them to the park, cinema, playgrounds, etc.
Families usually have more than one child, however, modern young parents still have a certain tendency to have no more than one or two children, unlike previous generations, when five or six children in the family were the norm.
Brazilian children are very relaxed and artistic.
