Description:
The Old Town is the place where Francisco Caldeira Castelo Branco was founded on January 12, 1616.
The Old Town district is the oldest in Belem do Para. The streets of the district are named after cities or famous people in Portugal or Brazil.
The old town was founded on the riverbank to export and import rubber during rubber fever. In this area to this day you can see houses that survived the history of the founding of the city and rubber fever, which brought the city a lot of money and luxury.
