Rua Lages, s/n, Blumenau, Brazil, Bairro Boa Vista
About the company:
Back in the late 30s, Blumenau was a small town with a population of only fifteen thousand. The economic growth of the city began only after 1943, when a system of water supply and treatment facilities was established. This service is dedicated to the Water Museum.
The museum was opened on September 1, 1999. Its collection includes parts and whole samples of equipment, photographs, project documentation. The exposition of the museum clearly illustrates the development of the water supply industry and its impact on the development of the region.
The building of the Museum was built in the early 40s in the architectural style of Art Deco. During the construction of the building, innovative environmentally friendly construction technologies were used at that time. Today, an observation deck is equipped on the roof of the museum, where a cafe and a fountain are located.
