Jabourou Palace
Description:
Pal cio Do Jaburu is the official residence of the Vice President of Brazil. The building was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer. The opening of the Jaburu Palace took place in 1977 in the new capital, next to the Alvorado Palace. Its name is associated with the bird yabiru, common in this region.
The building is located on the shore of Lake Paranoa. The main feature of Zhabur is the fact that this building is exclusively a residential building. Its area is 4,283 square meters. The palace is surrounded by a huge garden designed by landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx. Here among the typical cerrado trees grow ornamental plants brought from other countries. The garden is also a natural enclosure for nandu.
