National Museum of Cultural Complex of the Republic

The building of the museum by Oscar Niemeyer was built entirely at the expense of GDF. The construction is an architectural synthesis of high modernity and functionality. Its construction began in 1999, and the opening took place on December 15, 2006 by an exhibition of Niemeyer’s work.

The four-storey building has a hemispherical shape. The radius of the dome is 25 meters, the base is 32.6 meters, the height of the structure is 26 meters, the total area is 15,000 square meters. The upper floor is equipped with a separate entrance, where a large ramp leads. On the first floor is one of the main entrances to the building, which provides access to a large auditorium for 700 seats.
