The Maria Luisa and Oscar Americano Foundation Museum is a museum complex. On its territory there is a city park and a museum, which used to serve as the home of the founders of the foundation. The Maria Luisa and Oscar Americano Foundation houses a huge collection of art and historical artifacts that belonged to an American family.
Visitors to the fund will be able to see paintings by Brazilian painters of the XVII century, works by Dutch artists of the XVIII century, as well as several works by masters of the last century. Every Sunday, cultural evenings with classical music are organized in the Foundation’s house. The Maria Luisa and Oscar Americano Foundation organizes literary evenings, hosts various lectures and seminars related to film and literature.
The total area of the museum complex of the Maria Luisa and Oscar Americano Foundation is more than seventy-five thousand square meters.
The museum building was built in 1974 by engineer Oscar Americano.
