Mount Barreiro

Mount Barreiro is covered with large areas of forest, which is home to many species of animals, including rare ones. They also have endangered species, such as dark monkeys.

At the very top of Mount Barreiro is a deep stone cave.

Mount Barreiro is important not only for its natural beauty, but also for its historical significance - ancient Indians lived in these places. In the middle of the twentieth century, archaeological excavations were conducted here and many cultural and historical artifacts were discovered.

The state is also mindful of the importance of forests for the environment and strives to protect and preserve local nature, flora and fauna.
