There are exhibits that can tell about the history of folk culture, and interesting samples made of ribbons and beads. Use a separate popularity of the work of the artist Julia Rufino, who worked on anthropomorphic jars.

The museum is located on the embankment in a building with columns, which was recently renovated. It was opened in 2002. It was named after the famous folklorist and professor Teotonio Brandao.

He donated his collection, which contained rare photographs and leaflets, to the museum. The Theo Brandao Museum has even rare archives of documentary discs and audio cassettes, video cassettes and slides, on which you can trace the entire formation of the folk culture of Brazil and Portugal.
