Mercado do Artesanato

Mercado do Artesanato is a small market where you can buy food, clothing and souvenirs. Here you can find baskets and cups, jugs and boats woven from reed, flip-flops made from Brazilian rubber, as well as local sweets, vegetables and fruits and various Brazilian condiments and spices. The market is located in an old two-storey building covered with slate. The building has rounded windows. The entrance to the building is crowned by a high arch.

There are dozens of different shopping pavilions in the building. There are several other commercial tents next to it. The Mercado do Artesanato market is popular with both tourists and Brazilians. It's always crowded. In the market, you can buy goods at a price half the price at which they are sold in shopping centers. Many merchants will also be able to reduce the cost of goods if they start bargaining with them. The market operates daily.
