Igreja da Se Church

The church of Igreja da Se is located on the highest point of Old Olinda, and the view of the city’s landscapes from this peak is simply wonderful. This historic cathedral is one of the most beautiful and famous in Olinda.

In order to visit the church, you need to hire a taxi or buy a ticket for a tourist train departing from the city. While traveling by train, you can make several stops to take beautiful photos. Arriving, tourists will meet with an ancient architectural structure that has not known restoration for a long time.

The church is made in white-yellow and black colors and is surrounded by picturesque landscapes, local shops, restaurants and workshops. The interior of the Igreja da Se Cathedral is quite modest, but simple design without pretentious gold decor is its highlight. The church occupies a large territory on which there is a spacious parking space and a walk area.
