Brazil also has its own Walk of Fame. Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Alberto Melo Araujo decided to create his Walk of Fame dedicated to Brazilian celebrities in Petrolin. This event occurred in 1998.
Here you can find the names of famous musicians, producers, artists, athletes, cultural figures and other outstanding personalities who have done a lot for the art industry. Among them are Roberto Carlos, Geraldo Azevedo, Nilo Coelho, Juselino Kubitschek, Dom Helder, Irma Dulce and others. All names are engraved on the stars placed on the sidewalk.
The Walk of Fame annually hosts thousands of tourists who came to Petrolina from different countries.
