Church of Our Lady of Candelria

The Church of Our Lady of Candelria is a church located near Pre Vargas and Rio Branco. It is the most beautiful historical monument. The massive doors of the building are decorated with carvings. Inside the church there are many works of art, the first dates from the XVIII century.

Especially impressive tourists bronze figurines and interior decoration of the building. And massive staircases of brown wood and decorated with stained glass windows are the main highlight of this church. The ceiling of the temple is decorated with beautiful handmade paintings.

In front of the church there are many drawings related to the tragic events of the 1993 Candelria massacre. An indelible impression in the memory of tourists leave marble silhouettes carved at the entrance to the church.
