Quinta Boa Vista Municipal Park is located in the northern part of Rio and is the former residence of the royal family.
This one of the largest parks in the city covers an area of over 150,000 square meters, on its territory are the city zoo, the National Museum and the Wildlife Museum.
In the gardens of the park there are waterfalls, lakes and bridges, excellent places for family leisure are equipped. From the architectural structures here you can see the temple of Apollo, bronze statues of Don Pedro II and Empress Leopoldina. Of particular beauty is the Japanese pagoda built in the form of a temple.
