Catacumba Park

Catacumba Park is a magnificent park located in the Lagoa area. This beautiful park is located on the site of former slums. It begins at the bottom of the paved stone paths and goes deep into the tropical forest. Rays of sunlight seeping through the canopy of trees, thereby illuminating the park from the inside, is an unforgettable sight.

At the bottom of the park are sculptures, and then the terrain goes to the top of a small mountain, which stands next to the much higher elevation of Morro dos Cabritos. Walking to the top of the trail, you can see a beautiful view of Lagoa, and beyond it on Mount Corcovado stands a statue of Christ the Savior.
