Description:
Henrique Lage Park is a public park located at the foot of Corcovado Hill and covers an area of over 52 hectares.
The history of the park dates back to 1811, and in 1920 the park acquired the appearance that has survived to this day. The central figure of the park is a mansion built in a mixed style close to eclecticism. In the courtyard of the mansion there is a swimming pool. The gardens surrounding the mansion were built with geometric precision and according to the grandeur of the mansion.
At the moment, the park offers local residents and tourists walks through lush forests with royal palm trees, sports and playgrounds with swings and slides. Those who wish to follow the equipped hiking trail can reach the Corcovado hill.
The park was included in the list of the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage.
