Boa Viagem Island

The island of Boa Viagem in Niteroy is an amazingly beautiful island with beautiful views of the beaches, bays and the city itself. It is connected to the city by a small beach.

This small island not only impresses with its scenic beauty, it is also an important strategic point that in ancient times controlled the ships sailing to Rio de Janeiro. On the steep cliffs built several stairs, which you can climb to the top and see the Church of Our Lady Boa Viagem and the fort of the same name, which was a defensive point against the invaders.
