Botinas Islands

Angra dos Reis - RJ, Brazil

Description:

The Botinas Islands, located in the bay of the modern international tourist resort Angra Dos Reis, from a bird's eye view resemble a pair of boots, which is why they were so named (Botinas in Portuguese - "footwear").

These islands are considered the hallmark of Angra Dos Reis and are important for the Brazilian resort. It was here that the country’s first environmental manifesto appeared. Also, the crystal clear water on the coast is a natural aquarium.

On Botinas there is a unique opportunity to observe many species of colorful fish and other marine life. In addition, tourists are attracted by the excellent soft sand and clear calm waters of the beaches of the island.
