Flamengo Beach
Description:
Flamengo is one of the most popular beaches in all of Rio de Janeiro. It is located right next to the bay, called Guanabara. The area of the beach is more than 1.2 square kilometers.
Because of its vast territory, Flamengo Beach does not seem "clogged holidaymakers." Anyone who comes there will be able to find a place for themselves under the sun, and if it gets tired, rent an umbrella for very little money. The same can be done with a beach chair. But what is it that attracts visitors? Golden hot sand, clean water. What else?
Created in 1965, it expands year after year. Near this beach there is a huge garden. Its landscape was designed by local designer Roberto Burle Marx.
Not far from the beach of Flamengo there is a metro station: Largo, Flamengo and Machado. There is also a ground transport that can take a vacationer from Flamengo beach to any end of the city. Moreover, the beach is almost in the center of the city.
