Paqueta Island Beach

Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Description:

The beach of Paqueta Island is located inside Guanabara Bay and used to be quite popular among tourists. Unfortunately, the water is too dirty for swimming and fishing.

There are many houses of Brazilian artists and actors on this island. There's even a bird cemetery.

This beach is a great place to relax with friends, you can also rent a bike or horses. In general, this place is very beautiful and, despite everything, attracts people.

There are no cars on the island that pollute the environment.

This place has a strange colonial charm, and fried dumplings, which are cooked in the local store, will impress anyone.

Getting to this picturesque island is easy enough by the ferry Praca XV (Centro Rio).
