Prainha Beach is an unknown place for ordinary tourists, but a favorite among surfers because of the large and incredible beauty of the waves.
Covered with rainforest, the beach, opened in 2001, covers an area of 147 acres. The beach can be reached by car and by the only bus that gets there – by Surfbus. If you go on this bus, you can see the whole beautiful part of Rio de Janeiro, located on the beach.
Prainha beach is rocky and covered with various vegetation, so it is not popular among lovers of sunbathing in the sun and soaking up in calm water with a sandy bottom. It is often windy here, so swimming in these places is not safe.
