Sikueira Beach
Description:
Sikueira Beach is one of the nine beaches of the resort complex near the Kaabu Friu. The beach is located five kilometers from the city, and next to the main entrance to the coast is the church of St. Peter, the patron saint of fishermen.
Sikueira is a coastal strip 2 kilometers long, located southwest of the Kaabu Friu. This is one of the few beaches in Brazilli that are located not on the Atlantic coast, but on the shore of a large lake – the estuary of Araruama. The average annual water temperature here does not fall below 26 degrees.
Sikueira was traditionally considered a fishing village. In the waters of the lake live many species of fish and shrimp. Near the beach, a small Catholic church was built, consecrated in the name of the Apostle Peter, the patron saint of fishermen.
Along the beach, an asphalt path is laid, on which a real town of shops and street cafes grows in the holiday season.
