Urca Beach

Urca Beach is a very small, neat beach in Rio de Janeiro, located at the foot of the famous Sugar Head Mountain, which is considered the most popular attraction in Rio.

Urca beach has extremely small dimensions - its length does not exceed one hundred meters. In this regard, it is better to visit it early in the morning or late in the evening, at other times it is too crowded. Nevertheless, it is one of the best beaches in Rio - very clean and beautiful. The sea here is shallow, the water warms up very well and is perfect for swimming.

In addition, the beach is quite comfortable - there are sunbeds and umbrellas. And very close there are several bars and restaurants where you can have a snack or order something cool.
