House-Museum of Casimir de Abreu

House-Museum Casimiro de Abreu is a famous museum of the city of Casimiro de Abreu, located on the street Barra di San Juan.

The museum features a large collection of personal belongings and works by Casimir José Marquez de Abreu, a popular Brazilian romantic poet. The museum’s collection consists of 136 items. These are copies of documents, works of local artists, many photographs, texts of works.

The building was erected at the beginning of the XIX century and is a one-storey building, which housed a grand hall and four living rooms. The back of the house, where the poet's father's warehouse was, is now destroyed.
