Copacabana Fort Museum

Praca Cel. Eugê nio Franco, 1 - Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro,

About the company:

The Copacabana Fort Museum is part of a Brazilian military base that is now accessible to visitors. On the territory of the fort there are several towers and several large guns, as well as other weapons. The fort was created in the early XX century - in 1908 - as a coastal defense of the city. Fifteen years ago, it was turned into a military museum. The military is on duty in the fort. But they do not prohibit visitors from inspecting military exhibits.

The Copacabana Fort Museum houses an exhibition of military weapons. In the museum you can see exhibits that tell about different periods of the Brazilian army. There are weapons that were used in the First World War and in the Second. In the museum there are samples of the uniforms in which Brazilian soldiers served several decades ago.

The entrance to the Copacabana Fort Museum will have to be paid. The ticket costs about four dollars. Museum-fort
