Itapikuru River

The Itapicuru River is located in northeastern Brazil. It begins in the area of the Brazilian plateau on the Serra daz Alpecatas ridge. The river flows north and flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Its length is about a thousand two hundred kilometers, of which six hundred forty kilometers are suitable for navigation. The Itapikuru River is fed by rainwater. From March to May, floods form on the river. In the river basin, the local population cultivates subtropical and tropical crops and pastures.
