About the company:

The Maranhao Museum of Art and History is a museum that houses a rich collection of porcelain, crystal and glass products. All of them once belonged to influential Brazilians.

The Art and History Museum was established in 1973. But the building was built in 1836 and belonged to the Brazilian family of Gomez de Sousa. This is a huge mansion, the facade of which is decorated with high massive white columns. To this day, the building of the museum has preserved the atmosphere in which the aristocrats of the XIX century lived.

The museum has old furniture, kitchen utensils, and even items of clothing. On the walls in the rooms of the museum there are paintings, the time of creation of which is the beginning of the XVII-late XVIII centuries. Maranhao has a professional guide who will tell visitors about all the exhibits of the museum and answer all questions.

Admission to the Maranhao Museum of Art and History is free for all visitors.
