Preguicas River

The Preguicas River runs in Barreirinhas, in Maranhau. An excursion to the river often involves a boat trip down the river to the place where Preguicas meets the Atlantic Ocean.

During the trip, tourists will be able to enjoy stunning picturesque views and see the transparency of the river. At the mouth of the river you can make a small stop and taste local fish dishes. Swimming along the river, travelers will see a small fishing village inhabited by small monkeys. At the request of tourists, animals can be fed and photographed with them.

After the wild “zoo”, the next stop will be the village of Mandakaru, where the lighthouse of the Navy is located. After visiting the lighthouse, the course will be held at Cabure Beach, where tourists can witness the confluence of the river with the ocean.
