Port of Cabedel

Cabedelo - Paraí ba, Brasil

Description:

The port of Cabedelou is located in the north of the state of Paraiba at the mouth of the Paraiba River to North, where it flows into the Atlantic. This is a major cargo port in the region, but tourists are interested in it as a ferry berth. Regular ferry service is established between Cabedelu and Lucena beach on the left bank of the river.

The town of Cabedelou was founded in 1956, and its entire history is connected with the operation of the cargo terminal. The port and piers are even depicted on the coat of arms of the city. The port carries a large volume of traffic in the state of Paraiba. The port town is not particularly remarkable in terms of history and architecture, there is also no suitable place for a beach holiday. However, the port of Cabedelero is the fastest and most convenient way to get from João Pesoa to Lucena, another popular resort on the banks of Paraiba to North.

Ferries regularly cross the riverbed, transporting passengers from Cabedel to Lucena. In addition to speed, such a trip allows you to enjoy the views of the majestic river.
