Zakuma National Park
Description:
Zakuma National Park is the largest park in Chad, which is built on a swamp.
Who would have thought 70 years ago that there would be a huge reserve (3,000 km2), which will be a haven for most animals listed in the Red Book!
It is worth noting that rare animals are constantly hunted by poachers, so the territory of the park is under the supervision of armed guards. But outside the reserve, animals, unfortunately, are no longer protected from the evil thoughts of people.
Among the many unique animals, such as the water goat, you will find baboons, servals, crocodiles, many elephants, lions, giraffes. The total number of mammalian species is almost 50, not counting birds, which are more than 250 species only, not counting their total number.
In addition to the diverse flora and fauna, there are picturesque rivers in the park, where animals come to the watering hole every day.
In general, you will visit our smaller brothers and observe their way of life in natural conditions.
