Gauspersky Palace

The Gauspersky Palace is located next to Vegetable Market Square in Brno. Initially, the building was a Gothic building, and the inner wing, extending into the courtyard, had vaults in the early Renaissance style. In 1707-1708, an extensive reconstruction was carried out, the facade of the house completely changed its appearance to the late Baroque style, in which it remains today. The entrance has an arched form, the window cornices are decorated with bas-reliefs. From 1688 to 1800, the palace belonged to the family of the Gausperskys of Fanala and still bears the name of its owners. Currently, an experimental theater "Goose on the Tether" is located under the roof of the house.
