Description:
The Czechoslovak Hussite Church is located near Palack Square. It was built over five months as a modern basilica in 1924 by architects Bartle and Sask. Inside the church is a stone statue of Jan Hus and Peter Khelchitsky, as well as a magnificent relief illustrating the crucifixion of Christ, created by sculptor Frantisek Bielek.
The Czechoslovak Hussite Church has 292 communities throughout the Czech Republic. Sunday morning services include musical glorification, Bible sermon and prayers for those in need, and events specially prepared for youth and children.
