The monument to Adalbert Wojtec Lanne is erected in the city park České Budejewitz at the intersection of Lanne and Na Sadeh streets. Adalbert Vojtech Lanné (1805-1866) was an Austrian of Czech origin, a major industrialist and builder. Adalbert graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague and laid down timber companies, mines and a metallurgical plant in Kladno. On the donations of citizens, a monument was erected to Adalbert Wojtec Lanna - a native of České Budejewitz - for his contribution to the economic prosperity of the city and the region. The statue is made of bronze 6.7 meters high. Under communist rule, the monument was destroyed, but in modern times it was restored and installed on its former site.
