Petrovsky monastery

Petrovsky Monastery or its full name Monastery of the Congregation of the Brothers of Holy Communion is located in the city of České Budejovice. The main building of the monastery is the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary. The monastery was founded by Peter Václav Klement, a priest and active religious figure in Česká Budejewice. Clement had tuberculosis, so he tried to do as much as possible during his short life, he helped those in need and spent a lot of time among young people. After his death he was listed as a saint. His spiritual endeavors were continued by his followers. There is still a small “Petrovsk” community in the city.
