Horse Railroad Museum
Má nesova 44/10, Č esk Budě jovice
About the company:
The Horse Railroad Museum is located in the building of the former horse-rail station. It is hard to imagine that such a form of transportation ever existed. However, in 1832, the first railway on the European continent was built between Ceski Budejovice and the city of Linz, which also became the basis for the modern European railway network. On the rails drove carriages drawn with horses.
The preserved station building is considered a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The exposition is accompanied by informative documentary films and photographs.
