About the company:
Museum of brewing brewery "Ostravar", which is located on the territory of the oldest brewery "Ostravar", was founded in 1897. To date, the brand "Ostravar" is among the ten best breweries for the production and supply of beer in the country.
At the beginning of the XX century, the brewery "Ostravar" became very popular among beer lovers of Ostrava and nearby regions. But World War II brought not only destruction, but also a crisis that plagued the factory for a long time. After the end of the war, the factory building was reconstructed and the production of amber beverage began to bring income again. After some time, the products of the plant became one of the most popular in the Moravian-Silesian region. In order to show people the art of brewing, the Ostrava Brewing Museum was opened in 2000, which is visited annually by more than 7,000 visitors.
The Ostravar Brewery Museum offers visitors excursion routes that will show the production of Czech beer. At the end of the tour, you can try fresh beer "Ostrovar", which has a kind of bitter taste. The museum has a beer rack, which is more than 60 years old, preserved in a single copy.
The story about the traditions and technologies of Czech brewing takes place in modern brewing, filtration and bottling shops. Directly in the brewery museum, arranged in the old brewery, you can trace the entire history of Ostravar by bottle caps and labels, antique glasses and photos.
