About the company:

The Landek Park Mining Museum in Ostrava is located at the foot of Landek Mountain, the territory of which, in 1992, received the status of a national nature reserve. The museum itself is located in the abandoned coal mine Anselm, founded in the XVIII century. Landek Park is a museum. Known all over the world, where you will be told about archaeology, geology, mining, natural sciences, as well as the surrounding flora and fauna. The history of the museum knows many interesting cases. One of them was the fact that a unique forty-six-meter statue of Venus was found here. It was made of hematite and is the only one of its kind.

The Landek Park Mining Museum was opened on December 4, 1993. The exposition of the museum is represented by three parts – an underground exhibition (Anselm mine), an exhibition of mining and rescue equipment and an exhibition in the open area. The underground exhibition tells about the history of the mine itself from ancient times to the present day, as well as the guests will be shown the process of underground mining.

The collection of the exhibition of mountain rescue equipment will introduce you to the rescue equipment used in accidents. There are quite rare specimens in the collection. And the open-air exhibition will tell about human activity in the vicinity of the mountain, since the Stone Age.

The territory of the museum is also a venue for various entertainment and social events: children will be delighted with attractions, lovers of outdoor activities will find sports grounds here. And after descending from the mountain, you can enjoy drinking delicious Czech beer in the local bar "Harenda".
