About the company:
Pilsner Urquell has been producing beer since 1842. She appeared in the Czech Republic, and a German - Bavarian Josef Groll was invited to the position of brewer. It is believed that he was the first to produce Pilsner (or gold) beer. The variety quickly became popular, and other breweries began to brew such a beer. Therefore, in 1898, brewers from Pilsen patented the name Pilsner Urquell, which in German means “original Pilsner” or “Pilzner from the source”.
Today Pilsner Urquell is one of the leading brands of the brewing company SABMiller. Beer of this variety is brewed in Poland and since 2004 in Russia. The brewery has the most modern equipment, huge production and cooking shops, and the length of its cellars, according to some reports, exceeds 7 kilometers.
At the brewery opened the world's first museum of beer, where you can learn a lot about the drink itself, its history, varieties and methods of production.
Tourists will also be interested in a tour of the brewery itself. Visitors will be told about the history of Pilsner Urquell and the parent company SABMiller, will be shown a bottling shop with a capacity of 120 thousand bottles per hour, will be shown a film about the secrets of beer making in a rotating panoramic cinema hall, and will also be allowed to visit cooking shops and basements and, of course, will be treated to freshly brewed beer.
