St. Anne's Chapel

The chapel of St. Anne is located on the slope of Mount Gurka (498 meters above sea level) on the western outskirts of the city of Klatovy. The first Gothic temple on this site was built in 1331, but in the XV century it was demolished and in 1527 rebuilt and dedicated to St. Anne. In the 18th century, the chapel took on a new Baroque appearance, but soon its building was empty and began to gradually turn into ruins.

At the end of the XIX century, the tower was completed and the premises began to serve secular purposes. To date, a restaurant is located in one of the premises of the former chapel, and the rest is in a desolate state.
