Chapel of the Appearance of the Virgin Mary

The Chapel of the Appearance of the Virgin Mary is famous for its miraculous icon of the Mother of God. The chapel was built in 1696 on the site of an old house. It was located outside the fortress walls of Klatov in the northeast of the city. The temple is a simple rectangular building with a gable roof, on which the tower rises. Inside, the chapel has a vaulted semicircular ceiling decorated with frescoes depicting the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. In modern times, the chapel was restored and recognized as a cultural monument.

The icon of the Mother of God, whose face appeared bleeding in 1686, was transferred to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.
